Our Story
Fulfilling a lifelong dream of their own family business, Charlie and Tracie Berry opened Charlie's Still on Main in 2019 - right before a global pandemic shuttered restaurants across the nation. Our family and staff banded together through continued mandates to offer curbside, outdoor (winter!) dining and everything we could; even handing out a roll of toilet paper with every carryout order during the shortage!
We have grown exponentially in the aftermath, going from being able to see the wall behind our famous "Wall of Whiskey" to offering one of the Midwest's premier bourbon collections - even being honored several years running as one of Buffalo Trace Distillery's "America's Best Bourbon Bars".
You will find our personal touch all throughout the space. From handmade Barrel Hoop Chandeliers and custom Blanton's lamps above the bar, the 200 year old wooden beams from a farm in Ohio that support our beautiful back bar, century-old church pews from Saint Gregory's Catholic Cathedral in Detroit, to the tables handmade by our contractor Jeff Johnson with reclaimed barn wood (scan the QR code on your table to see the barn that it is from!) - we put our hearts and dreams into every small detail to bring you the warmest environment possible.
The support from our community has not gone unnoticed, and we want to give our sincere thanks to all those neighbors and friends that helped to fulfill our dreams.
We strive for you feel at home in ours and look forward to welcoming you at our table!
